Introducing Rumer, "Slow"

"Slow" is the gorgeous debut single from Rumer, a new singer drawing major comparisons to Karen Carpenter. It's due for release in Britain in 3 weeks and is already in the airplay top 40. Check out her other songs, "Am I Forgiven?" and "Long Long Day" at MySpace, and while you're there, pick up the free download of "Long Long Day."

When I saw the title, I was afraid it was a single from Rumer Willis. Thankfully it was this amazing song. How does England get these amazing songs in their airplay, and we get three Ke$ha songs instead? It has the feel of a more laid back version of Anita Baker's "Sweet Love".

John - That's funny. When I saw it I too wondered if it was Rumer Willis (I'd thought about mentioning that in the article but forgot). And Ke$ha's on to her fourth single now--keep up!

Paul - Yes, I was pleasantly surprised.
