1. Run - Leona Lewis
Leona Lewis scores her third #1 hit this week with "Run." Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you know that this Lewis's hotly anticipated remake of the 2004 hit from "Snow Patrol" (the hit that put them on the map in the UK). "Run" is not a physical release, but became available as a download this week from the special edition of Spirit. The re-release also includes her last single, which hit #5 just 4 weeks ago and drops four spots to #24 this week. "Run" follows a tradition for Leona being #1 in December. Her first #1 hit, "A Moment Like This," was Christmas #1 in 2006 and "Bleeding Love" was still #1 as the month began last year.
3. Womanizer - Britney Spears
4. Hot N Cold - Katy Perry
Buoyed by the release of its parent album Circus and freed from last week's oppressive chart competition, Britney Spears' "Womanizer" manages to climb to a new peak position at #3 this week. It's her 12th single to reach the top 3. Also climbing to a new peak T #4 is Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold."
12. I'm Outta Time - Oasis
This started the week at #1--before any iTunes data were added to the midweeks. Sadly it didn't even land in the top 10, which is a real shame, as I think it's a fantastic single. This ends Oasis' run of 22 consecutive top 10 hits that began with "Live Forever" in 1994 and ended with "The Shock of the Lightning" in October.
20. Rehab - Rihanna
Nobody is tired of her yet. Amazing. Up four this week.
32. Circus - Britney Spears
Britney's new album may have debuted at only #4 on the albums chart this week, but this second single from the album is already in the top 40. Expect it to make an even more dramatic appearance on the US singles chart next week.
33. Grace - Will Young
Things are not looking good for Will Young, who debuts at a lowly #33 with "Grace," the second single from his Let It Go album. Even Gareth Gates managed to land the second single from his dismally unpopular last album at #22. This is very bad news for Will.

lol i love the way you said "dramatic appearance"
poor william :( perhaps like scissor sisters, feeling, maroon 5 and killers he will now not have much single chart success but continue to do ok with his albums and tours over here (his album did climb to top 30 this week!)
And oh no! poor same diff at 22 with the album and 30 with the single. at least they didn't plummet out the charts like poor mcfly.
I think leona keeps keeping take that off the top slot - chartrigger reminded me that moment like this pushed patience off the top, bleeding gums murphy kept rule the world from a number one and now greatest day is pushed down one space. what are the odds that gary writes a song for her next album?!
J - I'm trying to build some suspense! It's still #1 on iTunes.
Paul - I hope you're right about Will. He's about due for a greatest hits album. Same Difference could still catch on--maybe with single #2? Steps afterall only hit #14 with "5678."
